DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte
Pumpkin spice latte.
Obsession of millions. Queen of froth. The rockstar latte.
Being a basic white girl, I had to try it.
Photo or it did not happen!
Maybe I am basic, but have you ever tried to use a Castle dome as a straw cap? I don’t think so!
The only problem with Pumpkin 🎃 Spice Latte is its price. Dang, it is expensive!
So when I told my mom:
She told me that I should stop daydreaming and if I wanted to consume the daily calorie intake with this nectar of gods, I should find a DIY option.
And I did find one!
It is soooo delicious!
My Mom said that it is great that we know what is inside of it.
I don’t know why can’t she understand that it is “pumpkin spice latte”. Easy! 🤭
DIY Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe
- 2 tablespoons pumpkin purée
- 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- ground black pepper
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract (seems to be too much, but it is not)
- 2 cups milk
- espresso or strong coffee
- whipped cream
Heat the pumpkin with the spices in a saucepan for about 2 minutes.
Put the sugar in and stir them together until the mixture thickens.
Warm the milk and put it in the pumpkin mix with the vanilla extract. Start the stirring gently. Later you can also blend them together. We have a Nutribullet and it works like a charm.
Pour coffee in your cup and add the mixture. Top it with a lot of whipped cream and decorate it with some spice.
So if you are like:
Now you can make one for yourself at home and nobody will find out.
